dwMap Choose Route and Reverse Route

dwMap now offers the ability to choose a new route from all your favorite routes without even going to the website.  You can also reverse your current route on the watch.  These two options are available to Premium subscribers on most recent watch models, and are found on dwMap's menu.

NOTE: We can only offer this feature on watches with 96kB or more of memory allocated to each app. These watches are listed in the article dwMap Background Maps. These features can also be used on the Instinct 2 and Descent G1 watches.

Choose Route

From dwMap's menu select Choose Route. It will fetch your current list of routes from your web account and you can choose one to immediately download and use.

This is an additional way of selecting a route, perhaps if you change your mind during your activity, but will still recommend usually using the normal way, which is to mark your current active route on the website (see Get Started with dwMap) then letting dwMap download it automatically when you start it.

Reverse Route

From dwMap's menu select Reverse Route. This will reverse the direction of your current route, and the Turn Notifications and route guidance will immediately switch to that direction.

This is really handy if you realize you are doing your planned route in reverse, or if you get part way through your route and decide you want to turn around and be guided back along it to the start.
