Planner Heatmaps

dynamicWatch's Route Planner is a free tool that lets you create hiking, running and cycling routes for your Garmin GPS in a fast and simple way.  Although the priority for Planner is to keep it simple, we have added a few advanced tools for dynamicWatch Premium users, such as heatmaps of your routes.

A heatmap lets you view all the routes in any of your Route Collections (collections are one of the most useful features of Premium) as a transparent orange overlay on the map while you work in Planner.  These then act as a guide for which roads and trails you like to use: you can rapidly click to build routes using these same roads/trails -- or perhaps for variety you'll use them to find roads that you've not yet used in a route.

Just click the red button near the top-left of Planner.  You will need to have created at least one collection and added some routes to it.  The Bulk Edit menu can be really useful for that.
