The dynamic.watch web site and mapField data field app are the fastest and easiest way to view and navigate a route in data fields pages on your Garmin Edge, Fenix 5, Forerunner 645/935 or Vivoactive 3/HR watch, or Oregon/Rino GPS.
Designed for runners, cyclists and hikers, just install the mapField data field on your device, and use this web page, dynamic.watch, to create routes using our mobile-friendly route Planner (or import routes from popular sites like Strava, Ride with GPS and MapMyRun) and send them to the device.
Use the bigger screen of your phone, tablet or computer to create and select a route, and mapField will automatically download it next time you start an activity with the data field. Your Garmin only needs an internet connection (through your phone) if you want to download a new route. Otherwise it is self-contained and designed for use outside of cellular service.
This website is fully mobile-enabled to use on your phone, and a laptop is not required (though of course the website works great there too).
A data field like mapField slots into the rich features already built into the latest Garmin watch and Edge models. Use the Run, Bike, Hike or other built-in activity apps on the Garmin. Mix the mapField in with your favorite data fields, whether they're the standards like speed and gradient, or other Connect IQ data fields like Strava Live Suffer Score, Stryd Power and Garmin Graphical Elevation. On any configuration of data pages, our mapField will show you where you are on your route, while allowing easy access to music controls, weather, Settings and other widgets. You can even use the mapField on more than one page layout at once.
Important tech note: Unlike a full Connect IQ app like dwMap, data fields can only get online once every 5 minutes, so the one-time account link step will take up to 5 minutes to complete, and route changes may take a few minutes to download.
