No Bluetooth to Garmin Connect or Error Code 1 or 2 when I start the app on my Garmin

If the dwMap or routeCourse app shows No Bluetooth to Garmin Connect, Error Code 1 or Error Code 2 when you start it on your Garmin this means that the app is not able to connect to the dynamic.watch web servers.

Your Garmin must be connected via Bluetooth to Garmin Mobile Connect on your Android or iPhone/iPad. Check the following:

• You must connect to your phone by Bluetooth, not by wifi or a cable.
• The Garmin Connect Mobile app must be running on your phone.
• You may need to disable WiFi on your watch for dwMap to be able to communicate reliably, as Connect IQ apps appear to work best over the Bluetooth connection to your phone, but this varies by watch model.
• Windows Phone will not work: that version of Garmin Connect Mobile does not provide a usable data connection.

Once setup, our apps do not need the phone connection during your run or ride.
